Labor Chairman accused NLC President of stealing workers’ salary
The National Chairman of the Labor Party (LP), Julius Abure, accused NLC (Nigeria Labor Congress) President Joe Ajaero of stealing workers’ salaries. Julius claimed Joe stole the money they meant to pay staff salaries and valuables during the LP secretariat office attack.
It came after leaders of the NLC party invaded the LP secretariat on Wednesday to demand the sack of Julius. NLC alleged Julius of secretly planning to destroy their party.
However, Julius spoke for the first time since the party’s secretariat invasion. He described the action of Joe as humiliation and an act of rascality.
National Publicity Secretary of the Labor Party, Obiora Ifoh released a statement on behalf of Julius Abure. He stated what they saw (secretarial invasion) was a show of shame and rascality. It was an abuse of office and an abuse of the law.
According to the statement, the NLC party is subject to the law. The NLC, led by Joe Ajaero is not above the law. The law prohibits Joe and the NLC leadership from taking the law into their own hands as they did when they besieged the office.
Furthermore, Julius said NLC members broke the fence, damaged the gates unlawfully took possession of the secretariat, and destroyed things worth millions of nairas.
Meanwhile, Labor Party Chairman Julius Abure also accused NLC President, Joe Ajaero of stealing money. He said they used that money to pay salaries and other official purposes. He said this is unfortunate, it is becoming illegal.

Julius further said he must state today that the leadership of NLC under Joe Ajaero is on the path of destroying the successes they achieved in the 2023 general election.
However, in response to allegations of Julius, acting chairman of NLC’s political commission, Professor Theophilus Udubuaku denied his claims.
He said when it comes to lying, Julius claims that billions of naira were stolen during a protest in front of several policemen. In addition, there were dozens of DSS officers and pressmen. Hence, they all can reveal a lot about who Julius truly is. His lies alone describe him as an excessively reckless man.
