J&K police reportedly questioned a relevant soldier about a possible narcotics offense. Afterward, colonels with several people attacked the Kupwara police station on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

A gang of 160 Territorial Army soldiers in uniform carrying weapons rushed to Kupwara Police Station. According to the First Information Report (FIR), three lieutenant colonels led this gang. Ankit Sood, Rajiv Chauhan, and Nikhil are those three lieutenant colonels.

The gang broke into the police station and used sticks and rifle butts to brutally attack the police officers who were present inside the station. FIR stated the situation worsened when army men showed their weapons and snatched police officers’ cell phones.
