Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh assassinated in Iran
Israel allegedly assassinated top Hamas leader and political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. He was also the former President of Palestine.
The militant group Hamas claimed that Ismail died in an Israeli attack at his residence in Tehran. It stated Ismail Haniyeh died in a cowardly Zionist raid.
The organization has vowed to take revenge for the death of Islam. It claimed this assassination would not go unanswered.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Abbas is among other prominent Hamas figures who have called Ismail’s murder an “assassination.” He also pledged to retaliate after the death of Islam. It is significant to note that Mahmoud is also the President of Palestine.
American influencer Jackson Hinkle condemned the killing of Islam. He said Zionists first killed Ismail’s grandchildren, then his children, and finally Ismail himself. Israel is a terrorist state.
According to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the reason behind this incident is not immediately clear. Hence, they are investigating the murder case of Ismail Haniyeh.
Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh was reportedly assassinated following his participation in the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of Iran.
Hamas senior leader and Palestinian politician Musa Abu Marzauk called Islam’s murder a “cowardly act” that will not go unpunished. On the other hand, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri announced that the organization would continue on its path.
Sami stated this assassination by the Israeli occupation was a terrible provocation that aimed to break the will of Hamas and their people to achieve fake goals.
The Foreign Ministry of Iran said the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh will strengthen resistance and the deep and unbreakable bond between Iran and Palestine. Foreign Ministries of Russia and Turkey have also condemned the assassination of Islam Haniyeh.
However, Israel has not yet responded or released a statement regarding Islam’s assassination. Ismail passed away only a few hours after Israel announced it assassinated Hezbollah’s chief military leader, Fuad Shukr. Hezbollah is another militant group based in Lebanon and a close ally of Hamas.
