Santosh was about to lie down for a nap when a snake attacked him. He thought that biting the snake back would save his life. Hence, he quickly grabbed it and bit it thrice.

His actions were motivated by a widely held belief in some regions of India that when a victim bites a snake again, the poison transmitted by the snake is returned to it.

But after the Bihar man bit a snake thrice to kill it, it died instantly and Santosh lived on. However, his coworkers rushed him to a nearby hospital. Then, Santosh revealed this story himself while lying at a local hospital.

As news of this strange incident spread, locals arrived at the Hospital to visit Santosh Lohar and hear his story. Those who could not visit him personally shared his story on social media which went viral in India and many other countries.

However, Santosh survived the snakebite and proved a fortunate person, unlike Siriati, an Indonesian woman. Siriate fell victim to a 30-foot python (snake) a few days before.

This incident happened in Sout Sulawesi, Indonesia when 30-year-old Siriati went out of her home to get her sick child some medicine.

Meanwhile, the massive snake attacked her when she was completely alone as she walked through the forest. It crushed her until she was dead and then swallowed her.
