Singer Sean Kingston arrested in California for fraud & theft charges

Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston was arrested in California after police raided his house in Florida. The original name of Sean Kingston is Kisean Paul Anderson.

Before the arrest of Sean, authorities earlier conducted a raid yesterday on his 14,000-square-foot-mansion located in southwest Ranches, Florida.

However, he was not present when the raid happened. But law enforcement officers arrested his mother, Janice Turner, on related charges. This investigation is active and ongoing.

After several hours of Janice’s arrest, Broward police arrested singer Sean Kingston on a warrant for multiple fraud and theft crimes near Fort Irwin, an Army base located northeast of Los Angeles.

Following the news of the raid and arrest, people started to seek a response from the singer and his mother, who is known as Mama Kingston, on her Instagram.

However, Sean appeared to comment on the events on his Instagram account before his arrest. He responded to reports that the arrested woman was his mother. He said he is good, and so is his mother.

Moreover, he said his lawyers are handling everything as they speak. His lawyer stated they look forward to addressing these matters in court and are confident of a successful resolution.

The raid and arrest came after a company, Ver Ver Entertainment, accused Sean of fraud charges. The company claims that Sean did not pay the full price of an enormous TV and sound system in February.

The company claimed in court documents that Sean used social media to contact them about buying a 232-inch Clossal TV with a strong sound system.

According to Ver Ver Entertainment, Sean convinced them to install their product with as little a downpayment as possible by making several false representations. It includes his promise to work with Justin Bieber on a promotional video for the company.

However, after the installation, Sean did not pay the remaining payment. Hence, they sued him for fraud and breach of contract.
