Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam died at 39, netizens mourn

Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam, who rose to fame from Coke Studio, has unfortunately died at 39. Zeb Bangash and her music colleague shared the tragic news of Haniya’s death. She is also a cousin of Haniya.

Zeb shared a series of her cousin’s pictures while honoring her. She stated Haniyah was not only a superb guitarist, and musician but also a beloved collaborator. She captioned the pictures with straightforward but a heartfelt phrase while calling Haniya “Hanini.”

Music lovers acknowledged Haniya as one of the best musicians in Pakistan. She collaborated with Zeb while founding a duo group “Zeb and Haniya” in 2007. They sang several noteworthy songs.

Haniya made a big decision to go to Canada in 2014 where she worked on her studies and pursued a solo music career. Zeb and Haniya, the duo were famous for their soulful songs featured in Season 2 of Coke Studio Pakistan.

Some of those songs are Paimona, Chal Diye, and Chup. The diverse musical abilities of the duo were at full peak in their upbeat song “Bibi Sanam.”

Famous Pakistani radio host, columnist, and commentator Fasi Zaka expressed grief at the death of Haniya Aslam. He called her death “incredibly depressing.”

Fasi Zaka described the personality of the deceased as a “gentle soul” and an “excellent musician.” He prayed she find peace in her eternal life.

Indian playback singer and songwriter Swanand Kirkire also mourned the passing of Haniya. He said his dear friend Haniya left them. Her heart stopped working. Peace be with her!

Haniya also possessed exceptional skills apart from her artistic accomplishments. Hence, we witnessed her skills in the 2016 Pakistani short film “Lala Begum.”

Haniyah also composed the soundtrack for the Pakistani love film “Dobara Phir Se” in the same year. She also performed as a song recordist for “Maypole Rose” in 2016.

However, her unexpected death has shocked her friends, coworkers, and admirers in Pakistan and other parts of the world. Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam died due to cardiac arrest.
