Anil Kapoor to host Bigg Boss OTT 3 instead of Salman Khan

Bollywood iconic star Anil Kapoor will host Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 on Jio Cinema instead of the previous season’s host, Salman Khan. Bigg Boss is the biggest and most watched Indian reality TV show in India and some other countries.

Bigg Boss show is also famous in neighboring Asian countries of India, including Nepal, Bhutan, and Pakistan. It is an Indian version of the British Reality show Big Brother.

However, Anil Kapoor has previously hosted the famous Indian show “Kaun Banega Crorepati. It is also the Indian Version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (British Television Show)?”

Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 will launch on JioCinema on June 21, 2024. JioCinema is India’s top streaming media service owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

Anil Kapoor and JioCinema have jointly announced to host Bigg Boss OTT 3. Anil reportedly said he and Bigg Boss OTT make the perfect team. They both have a youthful heart; people usually joke that he is getting older backward, but Bigg Boss is ageless.

According to Anil, his collaboration with Bigg Boss is like attempting a few fresh and interesting almost like going back to school. Everyone can enjoy comedy, drama, and unexpected turns in unscripted reality. He is excited to add his unique flavor to it.

Several Indian Broadcast TV versions of Bigg Boss are available, with well-known Indian celebrities serving as hosts. Renowned Bollywood producer and celebrity Karan Johar hosted the first season of Bigg Boss OTT 1 on Voot.

However, Salman Khan hosted the Bigg Boss OTT 2 second season on Colors TV. He has served Bigg Boss OTT 2 since 2012. On the other hand, actor and director Sudeep Sanjeev hosts the Kannada version of the show on Colors Kannada and JioCinema digitally.

Kamal Hassan hosts the Tamil version of Bigg Boss on Star Vijay and Distey+ Hotstar, while Nagarjuna Akkineni hosts the Telugu version on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar.
