Vikas Divyakirti called Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal vulgar and toxic
Famous writer-actor of the film “12th Fail” Vikas Divyakirti called Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal vulgar and toxic for youngsters. Vikas Divyakirti is an educator, author, YouTuber, and IAS (Indian Administrative Service) coach.
Vikas shared his brutally honest thoughts on the film Animal during an interview with radio host Neelesh Misra. According to him, Animal film is vulgar which will have a bad effect on young minds.
He said a movie such as Animal brings them back ten years back. This kind of movie should not be produced. The film creators made money and showed how their hero acts like a beast. Hence, he questioned whether people should only work for their financial gain, or should there be some societal value.
He also specifically mentioned a scene from the Animal film in which Tripti Dimri’s character, played by Ranbir Kapoor asks a woman to lick his shoe as a sign of devotion.
He raised concerns about what if some boys who are not mature enough and have a feudal mindset want to test their girlfriend’s love by asking them to lick their shoes after seeing the movie, what then?
In this regard, Vikas Divyakirti called Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal vulgar and unethical (Itni fuhad aur badtameez film hum bana rahein hai). He said it is sad when they make; such irresponsible and mean-spirited films because both forces are constantly in the world.
Vikas played himself a role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail film (2023). Vikrant Massey started in this film as lead role. People highly appreciated this film. However, YouTube videos of Vikas usually go viral on social media.
On the other hand, the Animal movie also proved to be a great hit. It became the most successful film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. It earned 900 crore rupees globally. Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed this film.
