Jannik Sinner won Miami Open 2024 title for third time in year
Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner beat Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and won the Miami Open 2024 title for the third time this year. Roger Federer was the last player to win the Australian Open and Miami Open the same year.
Now Jannik Sinner is the first player to do so and won his third title of the year with Open Miami 2024. He was in great shape as he easily beat Daniil Medvedev in the Miami Open semifinals and Grigor Dimitrov in the final.
Another thing Jannik did this season was improve his record to 22-1 and move up to a career-high number two in the world. He said this was a special moment after beating Grigor 6-3, 6-1.
Jannik said you don’t know whether this is the last time. Now you only have one day to enjoy this, because soon it will be a clay-court season, which is very different. Let’s see how he plays from now on. But there is no doubt that the hard-court season has been great so far.
Moreover, Jannik said being number two is a great feeling. He had no idea this would happen. His family is pretty normal. They both still work: his dad and mom. Life is not the same as sports for him.

Everyone has been amazed by Sinner this season. He won the Australian Open in January 2024. Carl Alcaraz beat him in the last four at Indian Wells, which was his only loss of 2024.
Darren Cahill, Jannik’s coach, said that Italian was having a good time both on and off the court. Jannik appreciates every moment happening to him. But Jannik has also got his feet on the ground knowing it’s just a sport, just a tennis match.
That is why Darren thinks tennis is in good hands right now. Players like those two and many others coming up next will carry the torch through the next generation. They have been so lucky to watch them grow over the last 20 years.
