Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed arrested again in Mianwali case
Lahore Police have arrested once again PTI leader Aliya Hamza and activist Sanam Javed in connection with the Mianwali case. According to sources, the jail administration would present the accused before an anti-terrorism court.
Meanwhile, Mianwali police intend to seek a temporary remand for Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed. According to the Mianwali case, Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed both set fire to the Kammermishani police station in Minawali.
X Twitter account handler of Aliya Hamza confirmed the news of her arrest some hours ago. The post stated Lahore police have rearrested Aliya Hamza in another FIR after spending 327 days in jail.
According to the post, this time FIR is registered in Mianwali to separate her from her family and cause more pain. They have only made new cases on Aliya Hamza after she has been granted bail in her previous FIRs.
It is significant to note that Lahore Police arrested Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed for the second time. Earlier, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) recently accepted the bail application of Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed in the Shadman attack case. This was related to the May 9 riots.
Anti-terrorism court judge (ATC) Arshad Javed heard the bail petition of the accused in the Shadman attack case. During the hearing, the law enforcement officials emphasized that Aliya and Sanam had involvement in the May 9 incidents. However, ATC Judge Arshad granted them bail.

Supporters of PTI are expressing their concerns about the re-arrest of Aliya Hamza and Sanam Javed. They are urging authorities to release them immediately and to stop political victimization.
Aliya Hamza is a former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. She has served as former Parliamentary Secretary of Textiles, Industries, and Commerce.
However, Sanam Javed is a social activist and staunch supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). She is also a guest presenter.
