Footballer Kylian Mbappe’s X account hacked, insults Lionel Messi
French footballer Kylian Mbappe’s X account took a hit when someone hacked it, and insulted star Lionel Messi in controversial tweets. Someone hacked into his account early in the morning while he was in Spain.
His fans and football community became aware of this hacking activity when his account began advertising a cryptocurrency called “$MBAPPE.” It claimed this currency had made 90,000 sales.
The weird thing did not end there, it also had a series of controversial tweets such as a tease about a Manchester United trade and a long-standing rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, controversial tweets have been deleted after posting; but caused concerns and massive controversy among the football community. After the hack, Kylian’s account posted tweets about Manchester United, a football club based in London.
One post stated, “Manchester is Red” and even admired a famous United fan account @UTDTrey while describing its best football account on X. However, when this account user asked whether he would want to relocate to London, he stated “London is shit bro.”
Whoever hacked Footballer Kylian Mbappe’s X account seemed to be a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry. He called “Ronaldo the greatest football player of all time” and insulted Messi using derogatory language.

These tweets seemed to intensify the already heated debates surrounding the rivalry between giant footballers Ronaldo and Messi.
According to media reports, the “MBAPPE” token became the center of attraction on social media in the aftermath of hacking. Its market value shot up to tens of millions of dollars within minutes before sharply falling back to zero.
However, Kylian’s hacked account attracted severe criticism. Many netizens became disappointed with the footballer’s PR team, which did not respond immediately. One user mentioned Kylian while asking where his PR team was and called this unacceptable.
