Horrific murder of pregnant Sania Zehra by husband shocked nation
The Pakistani nation went in shock when the horrific murder news of 20-year-old pregnant Sania Zehra by her husband Syed Ali Raza Bukhari came. The cases of domestic violence have become the norm, but this case’s details went to the extremist barbarism of Ali Raza.
Victim Sania was a resident of Multan who fell victim to an evil and inhumane murderer, Ali. She was five months pregnant and mother of two children. Netizens expressed outrage at her death and demanded strict laws to prevent domestic abuse immediately.
Forensic investigations revealed the horrifying details of Sania’s tragedy. They showed she was brutally murdered by strangulation and had been raped.
Further details disclosed other mutilations that provided a horrifying image of her level of agony. It included her crushed feet, fractured teeth, and cutting tongue. Her dead body had broken ribs and jaw with bruised eyes and elbows.
After subjecting pregnant Sania Zehra to unimaginable torture, culprit Ali tried to hang her body to portray her horrific murder as a suicide. A social media user claimed to be Sania’s cousin. She revealed they came to know about her death after one or two days as police informed them.
According to Sania’s cousin, Ali murdered her out of greed because she refused to ask her father for money and property. The claimant also expressed disappointment that authorities could not arrest evil Ali.
According to early investigation reports, the murder appeared to have been motivated by a property dispute. Sania owned the home in which she and Ali used to live. They were at odds on this matter between them.
Sania’s father, Syed Assad Abbas Shah, has registered an FIR against Ali under several sections of intentional murder at New Multan Police Station. Syed Assad Abbas Shah is a former MPA and renowned personality of Multan.
Moreover, Sania’s family claimed Ali deceived her into believing he was unmarried while he was married and had children.
So, her family filed a lawsuit in response. But later, they withdrew the case as Sania gave birth to their son. She also forced her family to close the case due to social pressure and her fear of divorcee embarrassment. However, Ali Raza managed to escape the city after the incident.
Police are also looking for him and opened an investigation against him. Both community and activists of women’s rights expressed their deep outrage. They demand justice for this brutal and tragic murder.
However, the story of Sania is the most recent in a series of shocking instances showing an increase in violence and domestic abuse against women on a large scale. She belonged to the well-established family of Multan.
So, the narrative that only underprivileged women fall victim to domestic violence has proved wrong. We have been witnessing several cases of domestic abuse against women of all classes.
