His brother Sadaf Hussain had filed a writ petition of Mohammad Hayat Tarar to IHC to consider this matter. Sadaf has requested IHC to file a case against the passport office due to their alleged involvement in the disappearance of his brother.

Sadaf claimed in his petition that DGIP was illegally holding Mohammad Hayat Tarar. Following the plea from Sadaf, IHC ordered relevant authorities to file a case against DGIP.

However, regarding the recent development in this case, Passport Department officer Mohammad Hayat appeared today. After that, Sadaf recorded his statement to IHC that his brother had voluntarily absented himself from the scene for some reasons which he knows.

On the other hand, some government officials reportedly claimed that Mohammad Hayat Tarar has accusations of illegal activities and corruption while issuing passports.

Moreover, media sources claim that high authorities suspended Mohammad Hayat owing to his involvement in several misconducts.

In a separate incident, a senior official of SECP, Sajid Gondal, returned home after going missing for five days. SECP refers to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. This incident dates back to September 9, 2020.

Mr Sajid Gondal was an additional joint director of the SECP at that time. However, his case was different from Mohammad Hayat’s as abductors kidnapped Sajid.

Following the strict actions from government officials to recover Sajid and catch the abductors, the kidnapper set free Sajid in fear of being caught.
