Namibia beat Oman after Super Over finish in T-20 World Cup 2024
Namibia beat Oman in a thrilling super-over finish in the T-20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Namibia chased 110 against Oman and scored 109 for six wickets in 20 overs.
Namibian Cricketer Ruben Trumpeimann gave his team an ideal start by taking two wickets during the opening two balls of the game. He is a left-arm pacer.
Meanwhile, Jan Frylinck made 45 runs off 48 balls with the help of six fours. He was also the highest run scorer for his team. In the concluding super over, Namibia needed two runs on the final ball but David Wiese could not bat. However, David and Malan Kruger ran across the playing field and finished the run.
However, Mehran Khan bowled for the final over of the innings. He got a score of 3-7 in four overs for Oman. In the super over, Namibia batted first and got 21 runs with the help of 13 runs in four balls by David Wiese.
David also bowled in a super finish over and gave only ten runs while picking up a wicket. Earlier, Namibia won the toss and chose to bowl first against Oman. Oman secured only 109 runs in 19.4 overs.
The incredible performance of Ruben sent back the first two batting openers, Omanian cricketers, Kashyap Prajapati and captain Aqib Ilyas to the pavilion. Neither of them could get a run on their first ball.
After a terrible start, Oman could not get back on track and lost wickets regularly. Oman scored 10 runs at the loss of one wicket, while Namibia had already scored 21 runs without losing any wickets. Following this, Namibia beat Oman by 11 runs in Super Over Finish.
